What the $1,500 program includes.
Intensive instruction and assessment
Your course fee includes three full days of fast-paced instruction plus practical and written examinations for ASA 101, ASA 103 and ASA 104.
ASA registration fees may be additional.

Books are purchased separately and should be studied before the intensive course.

Discuss Your ReadinessIt is designed for experienced sailors who are already comfortable handling a sailboat and want to earn formal ASA 101, 103 and 104 certifications.
The three-day format is not intended to replace the practice a beginner needs. New sailors should generally complete the courses separately to gain adequate instruction and on-water experience.
It includes three full days of instruction plus the practical and written examinations for ASA 101, ASA 103 and ASA 104. Books are separate, and ASA registration fees may be additional.
Yes. The program is intensive and includes three written examinations. Candidates should purchase and study the ASA 101, ASA 103 and ASA 104 books before class.
Charter companies set their own requirements and may consider certifications, sailing résumé, recent experience and local conditions. Certification is important, but it does not replace each company’s approval process.
