Join us for three hours of high-energy, hands-on drills under the expert guidance of our Lake St. Clair Sailing School Certified Captains and American Sailing (ASA) Captains. You aren’t just going for a boat ride; you’re taking command.
What’s on the Agenda?
We’ve designed these sessions as a dedicated platform to solidify the fundamentals. We focus on the “Big Three” that every confident sailor needs to master:
- Tacking & Jibing: Drill these until your transitions are seamless, smooth, and efficient.
- The Figure-Eight Man Overboard (MOB): Rehearse this life-saving maneuver until it becomes muscle memory. Confidence in an emergency starts here.
- Teamwork & Communication: Learn how to coordinate with a crew in real-time boat-handling scenarios.
Why Practice in a Group?
To ensure the most dynamic and realistic learning environment, we require a minimum of 3 students per session. Sailing is a team sport! By training with peers, you’ll observe different techniques, learn from collective experiences, and participate in realistic simulations that a solo lesson just can’t match. It’s collaborative, it’s social, and it’s the best way to build your proficiency.
