Lake St. Clair Sailing School has been certifying students to sail for over 30 years. The School is an American Sailing Association (ASA) certified training facility that gives sailors of all experience levels an opportunity to become more competent and confident in their abilities.
Lake St. Clair Sailing School gives sailors of all experience levels an opportunity to become more competent and confident in their abilities. If you choose to venture beyond the sailing basics, we’ll expand your horizons by teaching you to navigate with electronics and with the stars. Become certified at advanced or offshore levels, and the world’s oceans will become your highways and by-ways. You can learn it all or select the things that interest you the most.

The mission of Lake St. Clair Sailing School is to make sailing and yachting accessible to all sailing lovers. To transform lives through sailing classes and sunset sailing that inspire learning. To teach people to sail safely and confidently.
A word from the owner
Have you had an adventure that changed your life forever? I went on a yacht sailing trip in the Mediterranean ten years ago. The trip was for 10 days and it left a life time impression. I fell in love with sailing and I wanted to become a sailor. I first learned sailing at Edison Boat Club in Detroit, Michigan, then I improved my knowledge and skills when I joined Lake St. Clair Sailing School. I have enjoyed every moment taking my American Sailing Association classes. I became fond of the sailing school and I decided to continue providing the same services such as Sailing Classes and sunset sailing as the previous school owner did.

Owner’s Concept
In this age, mindfulness became rare with all of the distractions we have on a daily basis. Time passes slow when you are on the lake feeling the wind touching your face, the warmth of the sun and listening to sound of waves. Nothing can be more calming and relaxing than sailing on a boat.
Sailing has its magic, it bonds people together while they share their passion for sailing. It gets people closer and it helps us break our urban daily stress.
Respecting Nature
I aspire to have more people enjoy sailing and connecting with nature’s beauty while respecting and preserving nature. Our team also raises awareness about the fragility of our ecosystem.
