Licensed Captains Wanted
Job Description
Lake St. Clair Sailing School is looking for a Michigan Licensed Captains to join its approved captains list. Our sailboats are 30 Foot Catalina, well-maintained, and have all required safety equipment on board. Safety is our priority. Customer service is nice, too. We welcome applicants for open sailing charters or sailing classes.
Qualifications
- Must possess valid USCG masters license.
- Must be skilled at operating sailboat with single, outboard engines.
- Must be familiar with Detroit-area waters specifically Lake St. Clair.
- Should have some weekend availability on a regular basis.
- Commitment to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Complete a physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to operate and maintain vessel navigation equipment.
- Ability to employ lifesaving procedures on a vessel such as firefighting, first aid, and use of life saving equipment.
- Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
Experience:
Proof of: 3 years (Required)
- Location: Metro Detroit Area.
- License: US Coast Guard Captain license (Required).
- Language: English (Required).
- Work authorization: United States (Required).
