Thank you for your interest in sharing your passion for sailing and teaching with the Lake St. Clair Sailing School! We are always looking for talented, certified ASA instructors to join our team and help us create exceptional experiences on the water.
The path to becoming a certified American Sailing Association (ASA) instructor is a rewarding journey that validates your skills and opens doors to a career doing what you love. Here’s how you can get started:
Path to Becoming an ASA Instructor

- Obtain Your Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC):
- Attend an Instructor Qualification Clinic (IQC):
- Upon completing the online material, you will attend a multi-day IQC.
